Absolute Falls Guard

Falls-Guard is a Electronic Patient Alarm System which alerts a carer or family member when a patient or family member is getting out of bed so that the risk of a patient falling is dramatically reduced.


The Absolute Falls Guard reduces the risk of in-patient falls by alerting the staff that a patient with a high risk profile of falling is attempting to exit from the bed. This system can be used in a professional situation or at home for use by a carer or family member. 

The majority of inpatient falls occur during mobilization, for example when a patient has left their bed and is making their own way to a destination such as the bathroom and toilet.

Using Falls Guard can save the valuable time of your staff as the alarm is only activated when the patient is attempting to leave the bed and because the cushion and sensor are located inside a cover that is fitted to the outside of the bed, the unit does not encroach onto the patients’ sleeping area leading to
