Opti-Gard

Opti-Gard is an eye protection product that is used to protect the eyes of sedated, Coma or Surgery patients. It is a disposable product which sticks to a person’s face in a way that isn’t painful to remove afterwards.

It uses a special adhesive which sticks to a patient’s skin in a way which is strong enough to stay put but not too weak to come off when exposed to liquid or sweat.

The Opti-Gard also:

Prevents the cornea from drying out, particularly when the  is treated with drugs such as atropine, phentermine, antihistamines
Protects the eyes of the clients undergoing surgery from accidental contact with blood, liquids and foreign bodies
Reduces the incidence of corneal abrasions, splits or haemorrhages 
of the eyeball
The transparent lenses allow easy and convenient monitoring 
of the patient’s pupils. The supportive foam allows the device to be custom shaped and to be fitted to each patient’s face to maximize comfort and protection
